Overview of Registry Clean Pro
What is Registry Clean Pro?
Registry Clean Pro is a software tool that lets you search the Windows registry for invalid entries
and safely remove them.
You should be very careful when cleaning your registry. Deleting a wrong entry can kill your system. As opposed
to other registry cleaning utilities, Registry Clean Pro never deletes a registry key if this could harm your
system.
To prevent incorrect deletion of the registry entries that refer to a file without specifying the
full path, Registry Clean Pro scans all your hard drives and builds a full list of the files and folders
located there. If a file referenced from the registry can be found on your hard drives, Registry Clean
Pro does not remove its references.
Registry Clean Pro was extensively tested under Windows 98/ME/2000/XP to ensure its complete compatibility
and safety.
Features and Benefits
- Automatic Cleanup
By default, Registry Clean Pro scans the registry for all types of errors. This is the simplest way
to clean up the registry. Automatic Cleanup is recommended for 'non-technical' users. See Cleaning
the Registry for more information.
- Custom Scans
You can use the Custom Scan option to search the registry for particular types of errors (shared
DLLs, missing fonts, invalid startup entries, etc.). See Selecting
Registry Sections to Scan for more information.
- Manual Cleanup
After the scan is complete, Registry Clean Pro can show you a full list of errors, allowing you to
choose the invalid entries to remove. See Selecting Entries to Remove
for more information.
- Backup and Undo
Before removing an entry from your registry, Registry Clean Pro automatically creates a backup file
that can be used to undo the changes. See Undoing the Last Cleanup
for more information.
- Scheduler
You can schedule Registry Clean Pro to scan the registry every day, once a week or once a month.
See Scheduling Regular Scans for more information.
- Background Registry Monitoring
Registry Clean Pro can check the registry for errors in background mode and alert you when it finds
any. See Monitoring the Registry for Errors for more information.
